Hi friends,
Time flies when our lives are interesting and filled with fun or rather when we allow your life to surprise us while it is having fun with us.
"When in doubt say yes" seems to be the new life- skill I now practice and find most helpful. I feel that at my rather advanced age I know myself well enough to say no without a doubt when that is necessary.
When I ask myself about what I said yes to during the last ten months which I spent in New York, I realize that my decision to, in addition to coaching which I still do and will probably continue doing passionately for the duration of my life, acknowledge again the fact that I am and have always been a visual artist.
To do so and to help some friends show their work I decided to allow my very special apartment at the Apthorp in New York to live up to its potential and become a gallery for their as well as my art.
Three artists successfully displayed their work along with mine and since they all had their art work available to be seen on their websites I had to build one dedicated to my art as well. You may, if interested, view it at, www.irenaartfeast.com. (site was built by my favorite website specialist in Poland: Bartek Mendecki simplescript.eu). Incidently, just to see if I could still do it, I modeled a portrait head of a friend in terracotta and did a few small sculptures in fired earthenware.
Of course I continued writing and in June attended a week of writing workshops at Yale University sponsored by the International Women's Writing Guild.
As far as bringing new ideas under the PLUS sign of the "Radical Forgiveness Plus, thoughts to share variety", I have added my renewed interest in being a practitioner of Pranic Healing and a Reiki master, both of which, I may add with Colin Tipping's blessing, have become a part of the individual work I do with private Radical Forgiveness clients.
I expect to spend the next three months working as usual as a coach and workshop presenter in different Cities in Poland and possibly Austria. By clicking on the menu you will see what, more or less, I will do and where, more or less, I expect to do it.
Hi friends,
Please, pretty please say that you still remember me and forgive the fact that I again disappeared from your life for more than three months. I need your love and companionship to soften my re-entry to my New York life.
So what did I do on the other side of the language and cultural divide? I was busy and happy, traveled to conduct a new set of workshops, this time in addition to Radical Forgiveness based on the books of Don Miguel Ruiz who will visit Poland next spring. I traveled from the Baltic seashore to the Tatry mountains and in one beautiful sixteenth Century Manor helped to create a Dromenon, Jean would be proud of, and walked it with the participants of my workshop at midnight during a full moon to the sound of ancient music played on the lute. That certainly was one of the highlights however there were many other. I celebrated my eightieth birthday with sixty friends in early June and continued the celebration until last week when I used one of the gifts I received, a tandem parachute jump from the height of 12000 feet. Perhaps seeing these pictures above will serve best to reintroduce me back into your lives and to let you know that I have not changed or begun to act my age. Quite the opposite is true, since the jump, I feel twenty years younger. I did not say look, just feel.
Please call and come by when in the neighborhood, (of the Apthorp of course) I have missed you. Also get ready for soup sometimes soon. Time to be announced on this page.
Love,
Irenka (It is diminutive of Irena, everyone here calls me that and it kind of goes with my official entry into my second childhood).
